Spinborne

Role: Co-director / Game Designer / Lead QA
Game Type: Game Jam / Tech Demo.
• Designed The final boss "GeoDude" with 4 phases and a ramping difficulty mechanic.
• Designed 2 of the 4 weapons in the game currently.
• Helped coordinate over a dozen internal gameplay testers.
• Conducted over 200 player interviews, and assisted in marketing our game.
• Tested and identified key bugs as well as user interface conflicts in the main start screen as well as in all boss rooms.
• By the end of the game jam, we achieved a top 3 in most rated, a top 4 in popularity, and over 140 ratings. We currently sit at a 4.7 star rating on itch.io and we are building out some more features for a full release.

Last Loremaster

Harness the power of the six cardinal elements in Last Loremaster, a high-octane ARPG set in a stunning mythological world.Role: Research / Game Design Intern

• Conducted system research on the game's systems
• Analyzed and contributed to prototyping the six primary elemental types and their attacks for Last LoreMaster
• Investigated and assisted in prototyping over 10 enemies and enemy types for Last LoreMaster.
• Researched crowd control mechanics to assist with implementation and gameplay design.

• Designed the Game's core game loop and mechanics.
• Balanced the game's quest system
• Tested and identified key bugs as well as user interface conflicts.

Edo Edo Teishoku

A rouge-like trading card game based on food and cooking. Customize your playstyle and dig into the adventure that awaits!Role: Gameplay Designer
Game Type: Personal Game
• Responsible for 2 of the bosses, 2 of the mini bosses, 1 of the player characters, 30 recipes, half of the events, and half of the relics.
• Collaborated with the UI and Art departments to complete 60 recipes, 3 characters, and 10 enemies. Additionally, coordinated with the programming team to fully integrate them into the game.
• Conducted 100's of playtests and built playtest reports
• Helped with balancing card costs and card abilities.

Locosizic

Welcome to the LocoSizic: an inter-dimensional train for new hires to the Department of Correctional Sizing (D.O.C.S.). Locosizic is a puzzle game about size-changing objects and portal-style level traversal.Role: Game Design Lead

• Lead game mechanic creation

• Helped in creating an art direction for the game, especially when it came to picking the current art deco style.
• Helped clarify and solidify the narrative direction of the game.

Soul Torn

Your soul split from your body and now you have to fight to keep holding everything together. You notice that your spirit moves with you but never crosses your path. Soul Torn is a dungeon crawler based on a ghost that mimics the user's movement.Role: Team Lead/ Level Designer
Game Type: Flash Game/ Game Jam
• Balanced the game for 5-10 minutes of playtime
• Helped in creating the color palette and art direction
• Lead in-game mechanic creation
• Created 5 levels that have progressive difficulty
• Lead in creating all the enemies and their AI
• Helped create and tune the main character controls to feel responsive.

Bear Brigade: Ocean Attack!

A twist on the tower-defense genre, play as a bear tribe chief defending their home against the forces of the ocean as they attack you in anger and retaliation due to overfishing. Place towers, command minions, and defend the camp from the enemy.Role: Level Designer/ Game Designer
Game Type: Steam Game
• Created and Balanced 11 of the 21 levels
• Helped in enemy combat units
• Created 3 Objective based progression mechanics.
• Helped create and tune the main character controls to feel fair as well as to avoid infinite movement bugs.

About me

Hi, my name's Danny, I go by he/him pronouns and I am a designer based in California. I’ve been making games for about 4 and a half years. I’ve done everything from map design to economy design. I love making games, and throughout my time in this industry, I’ve met amazing people.My hobbies include Surfing, Skateboarding, Ice Skating, Dungeons and Dragons (I've made 2 of my campaigns), as well as competitive and casual games. I am Immortal on Valorant, and just started my climb on Marvel Rivals (Plat 2).I am good at breaking games (although I don't like that I am) so if you want your games broken let me know!Sidenote: I stream on Twitch often, so don't be shy and drop by. More often than not I'll be trying to climb ranked or I'll be doing game development stuff.

I also cosplay for fun currently I have a Nightwing (DC) , Ekko (Arcane) and Miles Morales (Across the Spiderverse) cosplays. With a couple in progress cosplays in the works like Grunkle stan (Gravity Falls), Kay C Jones (TMNT) and Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop).As of recently I’ve been moonlighting as my brother's social media manager and creative partner. He runs a cosplay and prop making channel and together we’ve managed to make the first ever zdrive from arcane, which has all the functionality it has in the show minus the time travel. As for the time traveling aspect, that feature is still a work in progress.
